A friend posed this question on Facebook: What were you thinking about at 16?

My response:
When I turned 16 we moved from Florida back to Pennsylvania. My first love was off to boot camp. I missed him like hell and practically LIVED by my mailbox. I also got my first job. I worked at Gannon University and was hanging with an older crowd. My older sister had a baby so I was worried about how having a sister who was a teen mother would reflect on me at school. I worried needlessly because Elizabeth Perry and Scott Strobel were my only real friends anyway..Oh and everyday as I was walking to homeroom, Seneca Bortz would see me in the hall and yell, "HEY GHETTO BOOTY, HEY GHETTO BOOTY!!!" at the top of her lungs at me. That's what SOME 16 year olds think about: HOW HUMILIATING IT IS TO BE ALIVE... Others just think about homecoming and silly crap like that..
